The Wind Tunnel Testing Division

The Wind Tunnel Testing Division is an important branch division of the State Key Laboratory of Disaster Reduction in Civil Engineering, and  has established cooperating and exchanging relations with wind and snow researchers in the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany and other countries. There are totally six atmospheric boundary layer wind tunnels in WTTD.

Shanghai Tower

Shanghai Tower is a super high-rise landmark skyscraper located in Lujiazui Trade Center of Shanghai. The height of the building is 632m, including 119 floors above ground. ''The Top of the World'' is the functional experience area. It has the functions of city exhibition and viewing, entertainment, VIP mini-bar, catering, sightseeing meeting and so on. The ''Shanghai Eye'', a 1000t ''Super Big Mac'', consisting of suspender, mass block, damper system and main structure protection system, is the heaviest tunde mass damper (TMD) in the world.
